5 Protein Smoothie Ideas Healthy Wellness This Veganuary 2022

So it is the beginning of the year, so now what? I know that a lot of us are on the search for protein smoothie ideas and all things good health right now. And the beginning of the year could not come soon enough, for that clean slate, and to be honest that would be the case for myself. I have never in the history of my life, heard of someone ringing in the new year with a protein smoothie in hand. Have you? So until the end of the NYE celebrations, we will wait until then.

But with all that said, I could almost see the light that is the dawn of the new year 2022, upon us. And with the start to a new year and the new month of Veganuary, formally known as January. Do you remember those days?, Usually comes the talk of building on our better selves. Whether that being joining a gym, that was never really a thing for me, so never really took off.

Or starting Yoga, Pilates, eating more greens (super greens) and of course a new love for healthy drinks, like a good protein smoothie idea. If you are unaware of the term Veganuary it is the month of January, where people are more inclined to try eating less meat or fish and diary for a month, aka veganism. It is a great concept to have a month dedicated to going vegan for a month. By doing something new, you might learn something new about yourself.

And if there is one drink I have drank a lot of this year! It would be a protein smoothie. I have spent a lot in cash in one particular take out. And in an attempt to save on that cash, it only makes sense in making my own from home. You don’t even have to be all that inventive, as there are many protein smoothie recipes online and in books.

5 FRESH PROTEIN SMOOTHIE IDEAS TO BOOST YOUR ENERGY

Black Berry Apple Crumble Smoothie | This high protein smoothie idea consist of easy and affordable ingredients, can be easily done in less than 30 minutes and serves two people. This delightful protein smoothie is made of 5 ingredients – mixed berries, 1 whole apple, milk of your choice, fat free natural yogurt, porridge oats, flaked almonds. serves 2, 3.5 star rating.

Kale Smoothie | Kale is great for digestion, brain development among other things. And here is how this protein smoothie is made – 2 handfuls of Kale, 1/2 an Avocado, 1/2 Lime (juice only), large handful of Pineapple chunks, medium size chunk Ginger, 1 tbsp of Cashew Nuts, 1 Banana (optional), Water. 5 min prep, serves 2, a 5/5 start rating.

Strawberry Green Goddess Smoothie | The Strawberries add to the sweetness of this smoothie but not to be taken lightly. This smoothie is still packed with a lot of punch with powerful ingredients of – 160g ripe strawberries, 160g baby spinach, 1 small Avocado halved then the flesh scooped out, 150ml pot bio yogurt, 2 small Oranges, juiced, plus 1/2 tsp finely grated zest. Coconut and Banana Smoothie | This protein smoothie will have you feeling all tropical, ingredients – 100g Coconut Yogurt, 3 tbsp of milk of your choice, 1/2 tbsp of ground Turmeric, 3cm piece of fresh Ginger peeled, 2 tbsp of Baobab Powder (optional), 1 small ripe banana, 1tbsp of honey, 1 tbsp of Oats, juice 0.5 of a Lemon, handful of ice. A 5 min prep, serves 1 with a 5/5 star rating!

Peanut Butter Smoothie | I know Peanut Butter drinks are not to everyone’s tasting but if you love peanuts and DON’T have any nut allergies, then this one is for you! Very high in protein smoothie goodness. All the ingredients needed are – 200ml Oat milk, 1 Banana peeled and chopped, 20g Peanut Butter, 1 tbsp of rolled Oats, pinch of Cinnamon, pinch of allspice, pinch of Nutmeg (optional), small handful of ice cubes and voila. A 5 min prep and serves 1-2 people, a 5/5 star rating!
