How To Plan A Happy Year, Achieve Actionable Goals 2022

It has been 2022 for a little while now, and as we have passed the first week of January successfully! What are your plans? Have you really even considered them for the year ahead? But more importantly, have you even got that cute planner though?

Prepare To Plan

If it is something I am not really good at, it would be planning. I could not plan to save the Queen, even if I wanted to (from those recent scandals, cough!) I have always thought preparing was only reserved for the people that have really got their shit together. The ones that look super chic and (sassy that walk, any Ru Paul fans in the house?) through society. BUT that simply is not true, you know it and I now, know it.

To prepare would be on my number one list of things to do this year. I am kind of half way there, in thoughts. I have my goals nothing too life changing, all in my head. I just need a really cool or cute diary. But seriously, a sensible diary and by sensible, I mean a diary that is functionable to your personal needs is a must.

My one and only time of owning a planner would probably be back in secondary school. On the back it had the week to view, with different class subjects. And within the planner it had (from memory) some blank pages for notes. I suppose for key dates.

What kind of planner do you strive for yourself? Is it a wall version, week to week book, a day to day book? Does your book have a check list, a mood/ vision board, blank pages or a projects section. Do you use an electronic source or maybe both! There seems to be more options these days for very varied and unique people.

In order to prepare for a successful year, whatever that may mean for you. It is important to write these things down. Start with a month. Or maybe an occasion, things or places you wish to try or visit. Try to prioritise the most important goals first. Or set down a new or improved routine, you wish to stick by.

Personally I have quite a few things I wish to achieve this year. And by the looks of things they seem to be more on the experiences side. For 2022 I plan to do indoor rock climbing with my partner, as we have never done it before and it looks quite fun. It would be a great bonding experiencing too, whilst building up stamina, strength and learning a new skill. Although I haven’t done much for yoga in my life, I would really love to go to a hot yoga class.

I just think it could possibly be one of the best overall wellbeing experiences for this year. I should probably start with basic yoga, in a basic room but I am just too excited to wait for either. Although learning 5 basic yoga poses, will help me to get my body used to new muscles being stretched! I also want to learn Reiki and practice it.

So overall having a planner can really keep you and your goal setting in check. That way you can see the months ahead and will clearly be able to see what plans you may have to change or cancel. Having a planner is beneficial for when life gets a bit busy and you can no longer store all your plans in your head.
