Before blogging I didn’t really know what to expect. I mean I did some research and covered the basics like needing a decent camera and when I said I did the research, it was actually my boyfriend : ) I guess both of us just thought there wasn’t much to it when it came to camera equipment, and figured a decent brand was as important as it needed to be, not really thinking much about the specifications but a lot about the price. We knew we wanted it to be cheap enough to handle good basics but not crazy expensive (again I say we because my hunny was buying the camera as a birthday present. But I will say this, it really is worth knowing what you really want and need for the content you want to produce, I have just learnt this over a year and a half later (better late than never!) I have been blogging for over a year now and am constantly intrigued by new blogger content or even more so, existing bloggers which I follow improving by each post. Like anything in life it is only natural to want to evolve for the better.
So when I saw there was a chance to attend a Olympus Pen Generation workshop with my blogging inspiration, Victoria from “In The Frow”, I could hardly contain myself. For anyone not familiar with the Olympus Pen, it is a compact camera that has some if not all bloggers in a frenzy. I heard about the Olympus Pen through one of Victoria’s you tube videos last year and have been hooked ever since! The Olympus Pen work shop was in partnership with Karen Millen and Victoria, combining photography with fashion.
It was an event held at a Karen Millen store in Covent Garden London and also a meet and greet (cue the screaming) On the night there was a flow of prosecco, a chance to have a photo shoot and make up done, win £750 shopping spree and the new Olympus Pen E-PL8, the new gorgeous a/w collection by Karen Millen at a discount for the event and of course the Olympus Pen workshop hosted by Victoria, giving tips and tricks to photography, blogging and fashion, I also had a chance to play around with the cameras!
The event it self was such fun, I meet new friends of this creative world, learnt insider tips on photography, did a photo shoot and of course got to meet the beautiful Victoria (In The Frow) totally girl fanning. Victoria really is as beautiful as she is on screen and has such an infectious personality. If I don’t win the competition for the Olympus Pen E-PL8, you can bet your sweet ass I will definitely be buying one… real soon!
