I know we are just getting over deciding what to wear for new years eve. Because lets face it for most of us it is always a struggle. Questions going through your head like, “should I wear a dress” “a skirt maybe” or “sod it, i’m wearing trousers” You might remember me doing a prom dress post back in November last year in collaboration with “Sassy my Prom”.
I know I much prefer the latter. Because truth be told I live near London, I love to stay warm during new years eve, especially if strolling around the River Thames. It can get really cold around there that time of the year.
So back to Sassy my Prom. They do beautiful prom / evening style dresses, fit for any aspiring Princess. And we all know the next big event is Valentines day, which is just around the corner. I’m sure Sassy my Prom would hook you up for a fantastic dress of your dream. Sassy my Prom kindly sent me “my dark but perfect” prom / evening dress. I’m a size UK 8 and the dress fits like a dream in a US 4. Other than the black I really love that the dress is lace in a floral pattern, and even more that it exposes some skin but not too much on the arms and chest area. Adding a touch of sexy. The black prom dress is as short as I would go for a dress or skirt. I like to feel comfortable when wearing a dress, knowing my arse isn’t on show every time I move (not a good look). The other feature I love about the black prom dress, is the neck line, which I think is very feminine and the bows down the back add girlishness. As does the scallop edging around the neck, sleeves, and bottom of the dress. The dress also has a black slip material attached to the dress to add to the look.
Sassy my Prom also kindly sent me turquoise reindeer earrings and a gold looking reindeer antler chain to complement the look. Although I must say I prefer the earrings with the dress and the colour of my lipstick, for that pop of colour, for an all black outfit. I paired this black prom dress with my personal choice of sheer tights and black patent shoes.
