As autumn draws in closer in the UK, I thought I would enjoy the last couple of weeks of our freak Indian summer down by the beach. So off to Southend-On-Sea Essex I went. Southend-On-Sea is one of my top ten beaches in the UK. A beach of pebbles (not for everyone I know), amusements on the high street, an adventure park and the worlds longest pleasure pier in the world stretching 1.34 miles (oh my). A train which runs along side the pier to and fro, makes for an alternative to get to either side. Ending my summer in the perfect way I know how, by messing about on the dodgems in the adventure park, eating the perfect fish and chips and enjoying my 99p cone along the pier. Goodbye Summer, see you next year!
