Right, well firstly I’m more than aware Summer has been ticked off our list. And we are officially waltzing with Autumn in the Autumn leaves, in the bright orange sun and crisp blue skies. BUT, I myself have not officially said goodbye to Summer twenty eighteen, AND I still had these last of my Summer photos to post! This years Summer has been absolutely awesome!
THE WORLD WAS ON FIRE?
So in the UK, we had a heatwave (for what felt like eternity) it lasted for about 4 – 6 weeks. And believe me when I say, I just couldn’t take it anymore. In the words of Alicia Keys “This Girls Is On Fire”, along with the rest of the country. Apparently, we hadn’t experienced anything like it since the 70s!. A bit before my time, so yeah I was done. I actually turned 50 shades darker, and it’s only now fading. It turns out it wasn’t just the UK but the world that was on fire, with most places actually com busting into flames. So I guess in the UK, we could all count ourselves, in the words of Kylie Minogue “Lucky, Luck, Lucky”!
DON’T TURN ON THE TAPS, THERE ISN’T ENOUGH WATER!
The year started of with lovely fresh green lawns. But come Summer, all that green turned into brown and yellow straw. The parks and fields, looked like how my skin was starting to feel. Starved from moisture. The UK went into panic mode and warned us all, not to water the grass, plants and our cars. So at this point, taking a shower, washing my hair and shaving my bits, for less than five minutes was a luxury.
BEACH PLEASE
Oh my days! Like oh my days, I thought I knew what a packed beach looked like. But holy moly. I couldn’t move for pebble or sea. It seemed like everyone from all areas of the UK had showed up. Our beach of choice was Brighton beach of course, where else. I love it down there, even though the beach has pebbles instead of golden soft sand. Was I totally over dressed (t-shirt and capri light jeans)? Because I did not get the memo. Everywhere I looked was nakey, nakey and more nakey. I know it was scorching hot, but damn I was not ready to see 50+ women of all ages, with their tits looking back at me. I was just not ready.
SO SHOULD I WEAR THIS or SHOULD I GO AU NATURAL?
Thank God, for the oversized t-shirts like this one from Miss Guided! I know this year WAS particularly hot. And with it brought the fashion revival, of the 70’s high rise mini shorts, (who likes short shorts, you like short shorts) OK, I like them too but not so much, that I wanted to see every young woman and girls arse hanging out. And shaking in the soft breeze! Whyyy, and all the beach Instagram spamming photos of everyone’s high rise, thong, side boob swimwear. Somethings should be left for the imagination.
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT
World on fire, the shortest of showers, naked beaches and to balance things out, naked fashion. Yes, what a hell of a Summer twenty eighteen it has been. You have been awesome in so many ways, give or take! So ending British Summer Time officially 28th October, before the clocks officially go back on the 31st of October 2018, .
