Glossier Reviews Lipstick, Greatest Generation G, Is Worth Your Money?

I have comfortably been a fan of Glossier and the three products, I regularly use are Generation G lipstick, Boy Brow and Brow Flick.

For the last year now I have been using them religiously and it is purely down to the simplicity of each product.

WHY CHOOSE A EYEBROW PEN

For the longest time and I probably mean, over the last 10 years! I have only stuck to one type of eyebrow product. Drum roll please… It was Rimmel “Professional Eyebrow Pencil” ta da! Even now as I write about it, I feel a sense of nostalgia. And once again ladies and gentlemen? I ended up on the influencer band wagon (before influencer marketing became a thing). I got this non timely recommendation from Samantha Maria. At the time her social handles were “Beauty Crush”, you may of heard of her?

Looking back now, it was and probably still is an easy eyebrow product to use. But as time passed on I saw newer things on the market, including the Glossier Brow Flick. And a good name for it too, as it promises to create light flicks, to mimic the already fine hairs of the brows. I’m not gonna lie but It has taken me a year! to master the flick pen and I do have my good days of application and the not so great days of application.

A little goes a long way with this product as it resembles an actual marker pen but in fine form. I would choose the Glossier Brow Flick over and over again because of it’s ability to create fine line, realistic hair strokes. As I said before, a little does go a long way. If you are too heavy handed you could create a proper bold, dark brow. If applied lightly you could achieve a light, natural, realistic looking brow (which I prefer). I guess it depends on the occasion? The pros to this brow product is it’s a microfine detailing pen, fills in and defines brows, smudge resistant, vegan and cruelty free, buildable or sheer.

DO YOU REALLY NEED A EYEBROW POMADE

In short the answer is yes. But this is your life and this is just banter. I love me some pomade and Glossier have done quite well with this one. Just like the Brow Flick, the Boy Brow I’ll give 5/5. The Boy Brow goes perfectly with the Brow Flick and holds the individual hairs in place, all day! Recently I was stuck in traffic for over 2 hours, coming back from Brighton Beach and by the time I did get back home, my makeup had been on my face for 12 hours! Way too long for me but I had not touched up any part of my makeup, including my Glossier brows.

Again a little does go a long way, I chose my pomade in colour Black which adds to the colour of the Glossier brow pen, which I also got in Black. So if you go heavy handed on both, you will have heavy block brows. There is no rule you must wear a pomade but if you are looking to keep your brows in place then this is the one, either in clear or colour. The pros are it shapes and thickens, cruelty free (wax makes it non vegan). Available in 5 shades Black, Brown, Auburn, Blonde and clear. I will like to try the brown next time. Also it does not stiffen or flake!

WHY YOU NEED THE GENERATION G LIPSTICK

OMD (oh my days), If there was only one lipstick left on the planet, please let it be this one! Sorry other brands, no joke. This is the best nude lipstick to have ever graced my lips. Money well spent. I got mine in the colour Leo, a natural Cocoa Brown.

The Glossier Generation G sheer lipstick feels so comfortable on and last for ages. Obviously after consuming any food or drinks a little re apply is needed but NOT much! These Glossier lipsticks give a casual, effortless colour blot to your lips, so If you love a full on pigmented apply then this is not the one. The lipstick adapts to your natural lip colour, so looks a little different on everyone.

A matte texture non drying. Comes in 6 different shades Cake (light peach), Crush (hot Raspberry Pink), Like (light cool Pink), Zip (Poppy Red), Leo (neutral Cocoa Brown), Jam (deep Berry).

DOES IT COME IN KIT FORM

It sure does, if you are looking to get the Brow Flick and Boy Brow as a duo, to save on pennies then this is definitely ideal BUT if you are a first time tester to both products then, I would suggest buying them separately.

BONUS – The Boy Brow and Generation G Lipstick can also be bought as a duo! Yes please, more pennies saved.
