Thomas’s Café Burberry

Thomas Café Burberry

This post is long overdue!  I visited the Thomas’s Café Burberry at the flagship store on Regent street in London.  It was a birthday treat back in April (see, long overdue!).  I thought I would go and visit based on a recommendation from one of my favourite Bloggers Victoria at inthefrow.com.  Victoria not only is gorgeous but is my Blogger inspiration and if she says it’s good, you better believe i’m going to check it out!

Thomas’s Café at Burberry is new and offers a chic, classic and very stylist place to eat and drink, with a 1940s decor and a calm atmosphere.  So much so you forget your in the middle of busy London.  At Thomas’s Café Burberry there you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner including the British classic afternoon tea (I say).

Before our afternoon tea the waiter had brought over a meringue slice with happy birthday written in chocolate (at this point I felt very spoilt) and because of the time of day I opt for the afternoon tea but before nibbling on a few cakes I tried the ‘garden vegetables with smoked aubergine’, which was so fresh, crunchy and very, very tasty.  I have never had an afternoon tea session outdoors so was really looking forward to the presentation and I was not disappointed, but having seen it on Victoria’s blog first I had a sneaky preview of what to expect : ).  Afternoon tea was served on a two tier fancy cake stand and I must say the miniature cakes and sandwiches were just the sweetest thing.  All very tasty and pleasing to the eye.  After each mouthful I happily washed it all down with champagne and English afternoon tea.  Just for good measure I also had scones and crumpets (I mean it wouldn’t be very British of me if I hadn’t darling).

Just when I thought it was all over and I just couldn’t take another bite… the sweet waiter who had served us for the duration, brought over biscuits that were sweetly wrapped with a bow (arhhh).

Thomas’s Café Burberry gets busy quickly, so to save disappointment I would recommend booking in advance, book here.

So if your in London and want to build on your special memories, take a trip down to Thomas’s Café Burberry.

What tickles your fancy tea or champagne?
