Mega Bus | Mystery

Well the first mystery of the night, was trying to find the Radisson Blu Portman hotel in London.  Believe me when I say, trying to follow your sat nav on your phone in the freezing cold is not fun.  Especially when your phone keeps dropping signal.

Mega Bus

I was invited to join a mystery tour with Mega Bus.  Mega Bus is the market-leading budget intercity coach operator in the UK and North America.  It is part of Stagecoach Group, the international transport group, which offers greener smarter travel at great value prices.

Finally

I finally arrived at the Radisson Blu Portman hotel, and it looked every bit as glamorous as the pictures on the web.  As I stepped inside to that toasty warm feeling, of the atmosphere in the hotel.  I was greeted by the Mega Bus crew who kindly gave us our goody bags and then lead us to the bar, for drinks of Prosecco and canapes.  I wouldn’t say no to a tomato style bruschetta and vegetable spring rolls.  After a while of chatting with the other bloggers.  Two of who I recognised Eboni and Tajinder. We were given a debrief of what we were to expect on the night.  So the group was split into smaller groups of six, we were given a bag with clues inside and an ipad to solve them on.

Here And There

The event started with Sherlock Holmes from Scotland Yard, giving us our first clue to solve the mystery.  Our group went outside to the Mega Bus coach where we boarded and chose our team name (Emoji).  The coach was large, had air conditioning and the seats were very comfortable.  Our first clue was in Westminster Abbey then we moved onto Trafalgar Square and finished in Covent Garden.  Along our journey we encountered Sherlock Holmes, Van Gogh (I think) and a robber, to help with our clues.

Really?

Our Team “Emoji” did very well on the night.  Although at times I thought we weren’t doing so well.  At least I know I weren’t lol.  In all the night was an exciting one filled with laughter.  To be honest we all brought our ideas to the table.  We finished the night back in the hotel, where there were still drinks and canapes on tap.  We all huddled while the wining team was announced and to our amazement WE actually won!  I was in totally disbelief as I’ve never won anything.  Team Emoji was presented with a mystery award, more booze and then we had our pictures taken with the Mega Bus mascot Sid.

It was actually a fantastic night.  10/10 for the guys who kept changing costumes, to go with the theme of the night.  Thank you Jennie for inviting me to a Mega Bus Mystery Tour.
