Honestly I do not think it matters. Although having said that, I would advise to choose your flowers based on the persons personality or character. Most Men probably would not admit to like receiving flowers, so I would probably go for flowers that had less pinks, purples and more whites, orange, yellow, deep purple or even red. And definitely more plant based like leaves and bulb looking flowers rather than a bunch of roses or daises. I think Peonies are a lovely neutral balance for all genders.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR FLOWERS FRESH
For your flowers to last longer after Fathers Day or any day cut the bottom of the flowers at a 45 degree angle. This will allow the flowers to absorb the fresh water better and the flower food that is sent with your fresh flowers. Fill the vase 2 thirds full and place out of direct sunlight. Remove unwanted leaves and any foliage. Change the water when noticeably cloudy and add fresh flower food.

Flowers are great mood enhancer and can brighten up any room, as well as make the room sell gorgeous. Flowers are and always will be an affordable gift that most people would love to receive. And although inevitable the flowers will perish, why not make them last longer buy having the recipient take beautiful photos with them. That’s just a tip from me.
