Aloe Vera comes from a Succulent plant species and can be found on islands of the western Indian ocean and northern to Africa. The plant is soft, usually tall with a point and has a jagged edge. Inside the plant a gooey clear gel substance can be found and can be quite sticky.
Aloe Vera is used in many different forms. Such as juice, medicine and cosmetics. It can be taken internal and external. Taken orally the benefits are endless. Aloe has been know to detoxify, help with digestion, hair growth, lower cholesterol and blood sugars. Used on the skin Aloe can aid acne, rash, sunburn and can be hydrating.
Like so many others I breakout in spots. Sometimes caused by hormones or indulging in too many bad treats (don’t judge). Whenever I notice a pesky protruding spot, I always reach out for my (works every time) Dr Organic Aloe Vera Gel. I am not claiming it will remove the spot over night but it certainly reduces the redness and inflammation, making the spot more manageable. Especially when applying make-up!
Aloe Vera Gel can be sourced from the raw plant.
Best used at night as it leaves a shine and a little goes a long way.
Have you tried Aloe Vera, if so has it worked for you? let me know in the comments below : )
